Apalta Valley, Chile

Apalta Valley is a prestigious sub-region of Chile’s Colchagua Valley, renowned for producing some of the country’s finest and most powerful red wines. Nestled in a horseshoe-shaped basin near the coastal hills, it benefits from a warm, sunny climate moderated by cooling breezes and significant diurnal temperature shifts, which help preserve freshness and structure. Its granitic and colluvial soils, combined with old vines, are particularly suited to varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Carménère and Syrah, yielding concentrated, complex wines with depth and elegance.
