Cabernet Franc

A black-skinned grape variety with a French origin, prized for its use in both varietal wines and famous blends, particularly those from Bordeaux. DNA analysis has confirmed it is a parent grape of both Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. When used in Bordeaux-style blends, Cabernet Franc contributes complexity, acidity and a distinctive floral or herbaceous character.
