The Innis & Gunn Highland Cask Ale is a rich, amber ale matured in oak casks that once held Highland single malt whisky, imparting a mellow warmth and layered character. It pours a bright copper colour with aromas of sweet malt, biscuit and gentle stone fruit, leading to flavours of toffee, creamy vanilla and subtle oak. The finish is clean with a gently warming bitterness that invites another sip.
Serve well chilled in a tulip or pint glass. Ideal with roasted game, glazed pork, mature cheddar or simply as a slow sipper by the fire.
